My job in high school was to write for the local weekly paper, The Gowanda News. I contributed stories and photographs nearly every week –– the editor saw my work in The Buffalo News and wanted to encourage teen readership in the area. My stories spanned trivial topics like local talent shows and high-school musicals and plays to topics taxpayers cared about, like improvements being made at my high school.

Today, 15 years later, I’m proud of this portfolio of work that captures my humble beginnings in the communications world.
