New name. New design. Same goal.

I’ve been a co-editor/designer of the First-Year Experience Parent Newsletter since last fall but this year, with my acceptance of the full editorial position, the committee and I decided to revamp the newsletter. We used to create templates within sbu.edu’s CMS system and then upload the stories. We were limited in creativity and access for portfolio means (plus it was a pain in the arse). Now we create a full-color .PDF that parents of freshmen receive in an eBlast. Parents can print off the newsletter if they so wish and contributors have better access to their work for either their digital or print portfolio(s). It’s a win-win.
